Brendan Smith

Brendan Smith is Chief Executive Officer of Weaver Biosciences, an early stage biotech focused on targeted small molecules that unlock specific gene activation. Prior to joining Weaver, Brendan was CEO of a stealth stage genetic medicines start-up, CFO of CRISPR Therapeutics and served as CFO & Head of Corporate Strategy at Translate Bio where he was part of the company’s successful $3.2B acquisition by Sanofi.

Mr. Smith is an accomplished executive with more than two decades of experience within high-growth biopharma environments from his earlier work as a Partner in the Life Science practice at Boston Consulting Group and as Vice President, Business Operations for Worldwide R&D at Pfizer.

Brendan received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and B.S. in Biochemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
